Commentary

It was commanded in the previous lesson that on the Day of Resurrection, the people will be divided in two separate groups and they will be dealt with entirely separately. One of the two groups will go in the Garden and the other will enter into the Hell. Those who believed in Allaah Almighty and did good works; will be sent to the Garden, but Deniers of the Commandments of Allaah Almighty and Disbelievers of the Hereafter will be thrown into the Hell. Therefore, if you desire to go into the Garden and do not wish to be included in the group of the Hell, then you should believe in Allaah Almighty and do good works. The best good work is worship of Allaah Almighty.

In these verses, its way has been described. Because Islam is the Religion of Abraham (peace be upon him), so particular times of worship have been prescribed the same, in which Abraham (peace be upon him) denied to believe that greatest glittering globe of this world, that is to say, the sun illuminating the world was a god; by observing the changes in its positions. Apparent changes are seen in it during the times of morning and evening, after midday (declining of the sun) and afternoon; that is to say; the last part of the day. The same times have been determined by means of prayer for admitting that Allaah Almighty is the Real God; and for declaring that He is the Greatest and Most Magnificent. So we should acknowledge by our tongues, hearts and movements particularly during these times that Allaah Almighty is the Omnipotent and the Incomparable.

15.  Then as for those who believed and did good works, they will be made happy in a Garden.

16.  And as for those who disbelieved and denied Our Revelations, and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, such will be brought to doom.

Commentary

Yuhbaruuna – (they will be made happy), origin of this word is habrun, which means “to please”. Habratun means “pleasure, happiness, delight”. It aims that they will be entertained so much that their hearts will become very happy.

Muhzaruuna – (they will be brought, laid before), this word is plural of muhzar, which has been derived from ‘ihzaarun. Origin of this word is hazrun, which means “to be present”. ‘Ihzaarun means “to present, to lay before, to arrest”.

It is commanded: On the Day, when the General Resurrection will set up, the Righteous and the wrongdoers will completely be separated from one another. Those who would have believed in Allaah Almighty and done good works, the Garden (Paradise) will be bestowed to them and they will feel there such happiness that they will forget their all previous afflictions. And they will be welcomed courteously and entertained in such a way that their entire past grief and sorrows will get away, poverty and feebleness will be finished. Their hearts will be glad and minds will be delighted.

On the other side, those people who denied the Revelations of Allaah Almighty, disbelieved in His Tokens after looking clearly and considered that no Day of general Resurrection would come; they will be seized and presented before Allaah Almighty and He will command: Cast them into the Hell!
