Certainly Lot was truthful

Chapter “’Ankabuut”- (The Spider) – 29

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahiminash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.

 (I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

 

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ ٱئْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ ٱللَّهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ 29b  قَالَ رَبِّ ٱنصُرْنِى عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ 30

29b.  But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allah’s Doom upon us if thou art a truth-teller!   30.  He said: My Lord! Help me against these mischievous people.

29b.  Famaa  kaana  jawaaba  qawmihiii  ‘illaaa  ‘an  qaalu’-tinaa  bi-‘AzaaBillaahi  ‘in-  kunta  minas-saadiqiin.   30.  Qaala  Rabbin-surnii  ‘alal-qawmil-Mufsidiin.  (Section 3)

Commentary

 

The people of the folk of Lot (peace be upon him) had no reply of his advice. Being confuted; they said: Bring the Doom of Allaah upon us if you are a truthful! We shall do the same continuously whatever we have been dong.

 

This answer was very heart-breaker. Lot (peace be upon him) supplicated in the Court of Allaah Almighty: O my Lord! These people are ready to spread mischief and destruction. They do not attend to me. I have no Supporter save You. My Lord! Help me and give me victory upon these vicious people.

 

Mostly the wickedness of the mankind became foundation of destruction in the world and corrupt people were often removed from the world due to their mischief. Their stories have been recorded in Holy Qur’an for warning, so that after reciting them, the people should escape from such evil works which became cause of their ruin.

 

But alas! Still the mankind has been choosing such wicked deeds, by which the ruin has come upon the old people. And his obstinacy is the same which was in the past. Moving straight is difficult without the Guidance of Allaah Almighty. Our Lord! Show us the Straight Path.

Unnatural offence with males

Chapter “’Ankabuut”- (The Spider) – 29

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ 28  أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ ٱلسَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِى نَادِيكُمُ ٱلْمُنكَرَ 29a

28.  And Lot! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Lo! Ye commit lewdness such as no creature did before you.   29a.  Do you commit unnatural offence with males, and commit robberies on the highway and commit abomination in your meetings?

28.  Wa  Luutan  ‘iz  qaala  li-qawmihiii  ‘innakum  lata’-tuunal- faahishata  maa  sabaqakum-  bihaa  min  ‘ahadim-minal-‘Aalamiin.   29a.  ‘A-‘innakum  lata’-tuunar-rijaala  wa  taqta-‘uunas-sabiil.  Wa  ta’-tuuna  fii  naadiikumul-munkar.

Commentary

Prophets Abraham and Lot (peace be upon them) emigrated from Iraq. Abraham (peace be upon him) moved to Palestine and stationed there. But Lot (peace be upon him) made his dwelling in Eastern Jordon. Then Allaah Almighty appointed Lot as His Prophet (peace be upon him) and directed him to reach Sodom for causing to understand the people of that place. He (peace be upon him) said to them: You have gripped up your loins for committing such lewdness as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds. You are not ashamed that you have cut the root of humanity. What an immodest act is it that you fulfill your sexual desires with men? Due to fear of your devilish acts, the people have left using the roads of this side. Business routes have been closed. Coming and going has been cut off. You commit in your meetings every evil. You have forgotten shame and modesty. Even there is nothing in your conversations save lewdness and porn.

 

The people of the folk of Lot (peace be upon him) had lost their wits, and their works were only evil deeds, lewd, joking, jesting and robbery. Those were frustrated from them who used to come there. The people had left passing their routes. Which acts against the humanity they adopted, were not committed by any other in the world. Lot (peace be upon him) was appointed for showing them the right path, and he left no stone un-turned to cause to understand them.
