(Part One-Forth) (Section 1)

Commentary

When mother of Moses (peace be upon him) felt some relief from grief, then she observed a noise in the whole township that a baby had been recovered from a floating box in the palace of Pharaoh. She sent Mary, the sister of Moses (peace be upon him) for watching his circumstances from a distance like strangers. His sister went and looked that what was happening. People had no doubt that she was sister of that baby.

In the palace, Moses (peace be upon him) did not suck milk of any foster-mother. Inevitably, they had to search any outsider wet nurse. Mary found a chance, went forth and said: I can direct you to a household that will be responsible for him for you while they are for his upbringing sincere.

It is commanded: That way, We restored Moses (peace be upon him) to his mother and she was engaged in the work of his fostering being content and without grieving. Salary was fixed for her duty and she knew that the Promise of Allaah Almighty is true. But most of the people disbelieve and do not know.

Commentary

Wife of Pharaoh, Asia (May Allah be pleased with her) opened the box, saw in it and being astonished it came out from her mouth thoughtlessly: How much this baby is dear! Then she turned her face toward Pharaoh and said: He will be a comfort of the eye for me and for you. We have no child, so he will be best amusement for both of us. I hope that when he will become young; he will benefit us. Moreover, we may adopt him as a son. So you should not kill him. Perhaps he would not be that; from whom we fear. Suppose, if he is the same, he will not give us pain because we shall nourish him.

They could not perceive that by the Commandment of Allaah Almighty, he {Moses (peace be upon him)} would destroy even their roots and branches.

On the other side, after casting the son into the river, mother of Moses (peace be upon him) became very restless in the morning and it was difficult for her to bear grief. When she heard that Pharaoh has possessed her son, then her restlessness increased more than limit. At that time, she was about to disclose the matter concerning her son. But Allaah Almighty had bound her heart and guided to believe in His Promise.

When she thought that Allaah Almighty has promised to save her son, then she felt some easiness and abstained from crying and disclosing the matter. Indeed, sufferings become easy to endure when Belief in Allaah Almighty is strong.
