‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in Allaah from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.

(In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

60.  That (is so). And whoso hath retaliated with the like of that which he was made to suffer and then hath (again) been wronged, Allah will succour him. Lo! Allah verily is Mild, Forgiving.

61.  That is because Allah maketh the night to pass into the day and maketh the day to pass into the night, and because Allah is Hearer, Seer.

62.  That is because Allah, He is the True, and that whereon they call instead of Him, it is the False, and because Allah, He is the High, the Great.

60.  Zaalik.  Wa  man  ‘aaqaba  bi-misli  maa  ‘uuqiba  bihii  summa  bugiya  ‘alayhi  layansu-rannahUllaah.  ‘InnAllaaha  la-‘Afuw-wun  Gafuur.

Commentary

It was described that retaliation of belief and good works is a peaceful and comfortable life in the Gardens, but retaliation of disbelief is the Doom of the Hell, and if along with it; any individual has oppressed others also, then such people will be suffering from the destruction in this world too.

After that, it is commanded: Behold this Rule of the world! The person, who has been oppressed, is permitted to take revenge equally from the oppressor according to his oppression. Certainly Allaah Almighty will help the weak; if even again the oppressor teases.

It is found from this discussion that if any disbeliever also does not oppress or tyrannize any other, he can live fairly in the world. However in the Hereafter, he will be involved in difficulties due to punishment of his disbelief. Allaah Almighty verily is Mild, Forgiving.

But a Rule of supporting the oppressed people has been fixed by Him. Universe and Time are under His Control. He Sees, Hears and only He is A True God and Lord. Save Him, people’s all self-fabricated gods are the False. He is the Highest, the Greatest. None is greater than Him.

Commentary

It is commanded in the previous verse that those people will be sent into the Gardens of Delight who will believe in Allaah Almighty and do good works. However the people who will disbelieve in Allaah Almighty and deny His Revelations, for them will be such shameful Doom, from which they will find no shelter.

Allaah Almighty commands in these verses: Which good works can be done, one of them is “flight from one’s native land and leaving behind everything for the Cause and Pleasure of Allaah Almighty”. It is very great good work. Allaah Almighty knows that the Muslims have been undergoing afflictions with patience in Makkah, but they are not permitted to fight. At that time, they obeyed the commandment of Allaah Almighty wholeheartedly. Then they were commanded that they should migrate for Madinah, so they left everything in Makkah and fled for the Cause of Allaah Almighty without wrangling.

Good news is for such people that Allaah Almighty loves very much the obedience of His servants. By having belief and doing good works, they set up best example of good works. After that, if they are killed in a battle against infidels or die naturally, in both forms, Allaah Almighty will give them good requital. He is well Aware of their mind and deeds, and He will pardon their errors, because He is Indulgent and Mild. And He will cause to arrive them at such place which will be liked by them. He knows also that which kind of place they like. Therefore He has kept ready for every individual a pleasing place in accordance with their choice. And after death; they will be provided their chosen place immediately.
