God’s last Scripture

Suratun-Nahl – (The Bee) – 16

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

64.  And We have revealed the Scripture unto thee only that thou mayst explain unto them that wherein they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe. 64.  Wa  maaa  ‘anzalNaa  ‘alay-kal-  Kitaaba  ‘illaa  li-tubayyina  lahumul-lazikh-talafuu  fiihi,  wa  hudanw-wa  rahmatal-liqaw-miny-yu’-minuun.

Commentary

With effect from when the mankind began to think, this question always came before him: Who is the Creator of this entire world? Who did put and decorate everything in order into the universe? Who is its Protecting Guardian and Patron? Who did create the mankind? Who did give him sense and understanding? Who does drive him away and after death where does he go? Who did make Laws and Rules? And Who does give or pass an Order etc.?

Allah Almighty sent His Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon them) in the world and commanded to them: Say to the people! Only I am The Creator, The Educator and Protecting Guardian of this world, and My Own Command is carried out everywhere. These are the Epithets of Mine. Therefore, you should believe in Me, worship Me and you should not attribute any partners with Me.

It has been described in this verse: O Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)! We have sent you at the end of all Messengers (peace be upon them), appointing you as the last Messenger unto the entire people, and revealed unto you the last Scripture, name of which is (Holy) Qur’an. Purpose of its descending is that the matters; in which the people differ since long, and in spite of it that ancient Prophets (peace be upon them) caused to understand them, but Satan (by his influence) did not let it repulse, a short and decisive answer of those matters should be given clearly, and the root of the dispute should be disconnected for always.

Now, if even then, many people do not believe, then you should neither grieve and nor be afflicted. This Scripture will be proved as a source of guidance for those who will believe in it wholeheartedly, and they will dwell in this world and in the Hereafter (at both places) with peace and ease.

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

63.  By Allah, We verily sent messengers unto the nations before thee, but the Devil made their deeds fair-seeming unto them, so he is their patron even today, and theirs will be a painful doom. 63.  Tallaahi  laqad  ‘arsalNaaa  ‘ilaaa  ‘umamim-min-  qablika  fazay-yana  lahumush-Shaytaanu  ‘a’-maalahum  fa-huwa  waliyyu-humul-yawma  wa  lahum  ‘azaa-bun  ‘aliim.

Commentary

In this verse, for satisfying the Messenger, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), Allah Almighty commands: it is a regular course in the world since the beginning that the human being is entangled in the tricks of Satan and disregards the Sayings of the Messengers (peace be upon them); sent by Us (God Almighty). Many of the people will consider that their wicked deeds are fair, even that their evil days will surround them from all sides at the end, and by suffering from the doom; they will be ruined in the world. In the Hereafter they will be entangled in the perpetual torment.

God Almighty has been swearing of Himself and commanding to His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him): We sent Our Messengers (peace be upon them) in various nations before You and they left no stone unturned to cause to understand them. But the Devil said to them: Bravo! Will you give up enjoyments and plays of the world by their saying? Behold! How much and what various kinds of amusing things do exist before you? If you did not use them, then others would take them under their possession and you would gaze in vain. You should enjoy your life along with your companions.

Those people were ruined due to deception of Satan and their evil deeds. But the behavior of the immoral persons is the same even today. The same perversion, ill disposition and devilish temptations have been working continuously, and absolutely their end will also be the same as it was of those before them. They will be in torment at both places (in this world and in the Hereafter), and this doom will be the result of their own evil deeds.

Assuredly theirs will be the Fire, and they will be the first to be driven to Hell. 62.  Wa  yaj-‘aluuna  Lillaahi  maa  yakrahuuna  wa  tasifu  ‘al-sinatu-humul-kaziba  ‘anna  lahumul-husnaa.  Laa  jarama  ‘anna  lahumun-Naara  wa  ‘an-nahum-mufratuun.

Commentary

Laa jarama – (assuredly, certainly to access), this word has passed earlier. Laa means “No, not, nay”. Jarama means “a cut”, that is to say, “there is no doubt in it that it is final”.

Mufratuuna – (they are first to be driven to), this is a Passive Participle and plural from the word “mufritun, which has been derived from ‘afraat. Origin of this word is fartun, which means “to go forth. ‘Ifraatun means “to press forward from the limit, to push ahead sharply”. It aims that these people are being driven quickly towards the Fire.

It is commanded: Telling a lie about Allah Almighty is very serious violence. But maximum people are fallen into it. They have been reprieved till an appointed term, so that they should correct themselves. And it is demand of the Mercy of Allah Almighty. These people assign worse things unto Allah Almighty and expound by their tongues that “ours are good things and we deserve them”. These are their entirely self-fabricated and a lie. Such sayings make them deserving of the Hell assuredly.

After hearing these verses of Holy Qur’aan, any wise person will never assign such attributes to the name of Allah Almighty, which are against His Worthy of Dignity. Good people will admit always and believe in His Names and Epithets, which have been mentioned in Holy Qur’aan.

Commentary

It is commanded: Selfishness, arrogantly behavior and stubbornness of you people deserve that your existence on the earth should be removed and you should be ruined without any delay. The same condition is of those people who live abroad from the Arab territory. It seems from the condition of all of you that maximum from you are wrongdoers and minimum are good people. Nearly you all are transgressors.

Now; if Allah Almighty destroyed you due to your violence, immoralities and evil deeds, then how would the world be peopled? Good people are already displeased from the world and seekers of the Hereafter. They do not take interest in the matters of this world. The entire active things have been created for the mankind. If the human beings are removed; then what would be function of other things?

In short, as soon as the wrongdoers will be ruined, the entire land will be empty from living things. But Allah Almighty is The Knower and The Wise. He has decided in accord with His Knowledge and Wisdom that this world should be preserved until an appointed term, so that the good people may come out and be separated from the wrongdoers.

Therefore, it is incumbent to secure the mankind till the appointed term; notwithstanding their wickedness, so that whosoever desires to be good, may get opportunity. When the appointed time will come to an end, then everything will be ruined, not any hour in advance or remaining.

Commentary

Circumstances of which the Idolaters have been mentioned in these verses, their summary is that they are thankless to their Lord and disobedient servants of Allah Almighty; Who is The Real Benefactor. They can never be out of His Control and they know it well. Therefore, during misfortune, they cry for help unto Him. But when the misfortune is removed, they forget Him and begin to draw a part of God’s given stores for idols’ offering and sacrificing.

Secondly, those people are selfish. They wish to keep good things for themselves and spend defective things in the name of Allah Almighty. Similitude of it is that they say that the Angels are His daughters. Whereas if any daughter is born at their home, then they consider that she is base of disgrace. This description of their qualities is their wordy picture and from it, this image of them comes into mind. Disobedient slave is entirely selfish who considers that (God forbid) his Lord is very simple and innocent.

Root cause of their depravity is that they do not believe in the Hereafter. After hearing the circumstances of such people, nothing comes in the mind but their wickedness. This image shows their mere badness, because they do not have good qualities which may be mentioned. You should reflect in the Attributes of Allah Almighty contrary to it. From Them, it is proved that He is the Greatest and Most Magnificent. This concept comes in mind about Him that He is The Most Powerful and Aware of the entire realities.

Commentary

Muswaddan – (black, dark), it is a Subject from the word ‘iswaadun. Its origin is sawada. Sawaadun means – darkness, blackness. ‘Iswaadun means “to be dark or black”.

Kaziimun – (inward wroth, hiding own woe), it is an adjective; origin of which is kazama (swallowed up anger).

Yata-waaraa – (hiding oneself), this word is from warii, which means “concealment, covering, hiding”. Tawaaraa means “to hide).

It is commanded that when someone comes and gives tidings to a person that “a daughter has been born from your wife”, then he grieves as much that it seems that a mountain of sorrow has fallen on his head. His face becomes dark due to inward wroth. And he begins to think: Should I let her live or bear reproach of people and disgrace for whole life? Or should I bury her in the earth so that I may not see the face of disgrace in my life?

He has such condition in the matter of a daughter, whereas for Allah Almighty; he proposes daughters. Behold! It is their deceitful conduct.

57.  Wa  yaj-‘aluuna  Lillaahil-banaati  Sub-haanaHuu,  wa  la-hum-maa  yashta-huun.

Commentary

Yashta-huuna – (they desire), origin of this word is ‘ishti-haa-‘un, which has been derived from shah-watun. Shah-watun means “desire, wish, will”. We use this word only for sexual desires, whereas in Arabic language; every desire is shah-watun. ‘Ishti-haa-‘un means “to desire, hunger, quest etc.”

Holy Qur’aan causes to learn that you should give up offering and sacrificing on the names of idols. Whatever you receive; gives Allah Almighty. While tillage, trade or cattle, everything is given by Him only, then why do you separate a portion of idols from the production? It has been commanded in this verse: The infidel people assign a portion of idols from the provisions given by Allah Almighty, which is extremely injustice. You will indeed be asked about these false worshipped, which have been fabricated by your own hands that “whence have they come”? Satan has misled you. You accept Allah Almighty by your mouths, but neither your hearts give Him any importance and nor you know well about His Epithets. Behold! Allah Almighty is Pure from having descendants, whereas you assign unto Him daughters. Repent of your such attribution. He is above the entire kinds of indigence and not needy of children. Marvel is this that you like the best things for yourselves as you ask always for a son, but attribute unto Allah useless and worthless things.

Commentary

Taj-‘aruuna – (you cry for help, you sue), origin of this word is ja-‘ara. Ju-‘aarun means “causing to come out a harsh voice or crying of any cow bitterly from which; it seems that she needs something”.

It is commanded that every that comfort which you have been enjoying, is from your Lord (Allah Almighty). Sometimes, misfortune reaches you by any thing and in this condition; you forget every thing and cry for the help of God only. Consequently He rids you of from the misfortune. A little later, you forget Allah Almighty and consider that others than Him are solvers of your difficulties.

It shows clearly that you deny the favors of Allah Almighty and consider that those things are your benefactors and helpers, which you see before you. Whereas those things have been witnessing themselves that those are helpless but Allah Almighty is the Omnipotent. In such condition He was Able to punish you due to your thanklessness. But He is Merciful and Forbearing, Who does not seize you immediately. It is the reason that He has been giving you chances of reaping advantages from His favors. At last a time will come that the respite will come to an end. Then every wrongdoer will come to know that how much he/she had been entangled in fooleries?

52.  Wa  lahuu  maa  fis-samaa-waati  wal-‘arzi  wa  laHud-Diinu  waasibaa.  ‘Afa-gayrAllaahi  tattaquun.

Commentary

‘Irhabuuna – (Fear Me!), the word ‘Irhabuu is a Word of Command from rahaba. Rahab means “to fear (along with which, there is shivering and restlessness in the heart)”. At the end of this word; letter “n” is superfluous and then after the letter “n”, “ii” comes, which means “Me”. Due to stopping of the sentence, the last, “ii” have been reduced.

Waasibun – (always, for ever), it is the subject from the word wasaba, which means “perpetuity”. So waasibun means “perpetual, permanent”.

It has been included in the nature of a mankind that he goes astray when he is misled. So there is a need of showing Straight Path to him. Keeping in view the nature of human being, Allah Almighty sent His Messengers (peace be upon them) and the Scriptures from time to time. And Allah Almighty commanded: Behold! You should never choose two gods (worshipped). In truth, Worshipped (God) is only One, and He can be only One, Who is “Me”. Therefore you should be in awe from Me and listen! Whatsoever is in the heavens and in the earth; is of Me.

The fact is that always the obedience and submission is incumbent of Him only, while one and all are helpless before Him, then how can any other profit or harm to someone without His command? Then why do you fear any other save Allah Almighty?

Commentary

Daaabba-tun – (of living creatures, that; which moves), this word has passed in Suratul ‘An-‘aam. Every such living thing which moves on the earth; is called “daaabba-tun”.

It is commanded: Every thing of the heavens, whether that seems very grand, and like this, every living thing of the earth, makes prostration unto God Almighty. And while the living creatures have bowed down, then what is the question of the lifeless? No one has any power of disobeying His commandment. Moreover, that splendid creature which is called angels, have been making prostration before Allah Almighty submissively, although they are powerful and degree holders.

They know that “our entire power and honor has been bestowed by Allah Almighty. We are quite helpless before Him. And without His Command and Permission, we can do nothing”. They do never think about their greatness. They understand well that “above all of us is our Lord; Allah Almighty, and under His Command, we all assume our duties according to His Commandment for which we have been appointed separately. Therefore, we have no rank save it that we should adore Him and obey most willingly for which He commands us”. So they perform what is commanded to them.

These verses are of “Prostration”, that is to say, it is necessary for every that person who recites or hears these two verses that he/she should make prostration unto Allah Almighty.
