Quran Chapter 15  8 & 9 (Pt-14, Stg-3) (L-1657) – درس قرآن

Allah verily is Guardian of Qur’aan

Surah ‘Al-Hijr – (The Rocky Tract) – 15

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

8.  We send not down the angels save with the fact, and in that case (the disbelievers) would not be tolerated.

9.  Lo! We, even We, have revealed the Reminder, and lo! We verily are its Guardian.

8.  Maa  Nunaz-zilul-malaaa-‘i-kata  ‘illaa  bil-Haqqi  wa  maa  kaanuuu  ‘izam-mun-zariin.

9.  ‘Innaa  Nahnu  nazzal-Naz-Zikra  wa  ‘inNaa  lahuu  la-Haafi-zuun.

Commentary

Those people, who disbelieve in the Truth, hold out falsely in various ways for having not belief, and love of pleasantness of this life teaches them these pretences. Proud chieftains of Makkah did not believe in the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon them) and said: The entire (commandments), which exist in the (Holy) Qur’aan, which You possess, are (God forbid) against the sense. Whether any intelligent person can hinder from collecting wealth, enjoying all sorts and kinds of plays and games; and doing whatsoever someone wishes to do? You say that You are Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon them), then why did He not send His angels (peace be upon them) with you?

Answering to their question, it is commanded: Holy Qur’aan itself is a great Portent. This clear Portent is not visible to you and you demand that the angels (peace be upon them) should come. Behold! The angels come to carry out the last decision. After their arrival, the guilty are not tolerated. And which you jest of the Sacred Scripture, perceive! We have revealed the Reminder (Holy Qur’aan), so that the mankind should reflect about deliverance in the Hereafter by using the duration of respite before the final decision. We are Guardian of Holy Qur’aan, so no one is able to remove it or make any change into it.

People intoxicated of wealth and lovers of luxuries

Quran Chapter 15  6 & 7 (Pt-14, Stg-3) (L-1656) – درس قرآن

People intoxicated of wealth and lovers of luxuries

Surah ‘Al-Hijr – (The Rocky Tract) – 15

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful)

6.  And they say: O thou unto whom the Reminder is revealed, lo! Thou art indeed a madman!

7.  Why bringest thou not angels unto us, if thou art of the Truthful?

6.  Wa  qaa-luu  yaaa-‘ayyu-hallazii  nuzzila  ‘alay-hiz-Zikru  ‘innaka  la-majnuun.

7.  Law-maa  ta’-tiinaa  bil-ma-laaa-‘ikati  ‘in  kunta  minas-Saadiqiin.

Commentary

Law-maa – (Why not), this word is another form of law-laa. Both words are used before the sentence to strengthen own point of view. The aim from it is that the person addressed; should do whatever we say.

The people; intoxicated of wealth and lovers of luxuries do not care anything save their own amusements. According to them, intelligent is that person who knows “how to earn wealth” and may take part in entertainments of higher level and amusements of top level. If someone says against these traditions and customs, he is considered as a mad, ignorant and stupid. The same condition was of the arrogant people of Makkah.

Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) rose the voice against all such wanderings and commanded: I am Messenger of Allah Almighty. And He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) caused to hear them Holy Qur’aan by reciting in corroboration of Himself and frightened the people in these words: If you did not listen to Me; but remained involved in your absurdities, then you would suffer from misfortunes in the world, as well as after death, you will be seized by severe doom. After hearing these unlike impartial Sayings against their traditions and customs, and along with it, beholding that this Person {Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)} claims that “He will succeed and honorable people (as of Makkah) will be defeated”, signs of which were not visible to them before their wealth and respect, they began to scream instantly: O Claimant of it that Qur’aan is the Word of Allah! Where does your mind sing (where is your wisdom)? Whatever you are saying, are talks of mad people. If you are a Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), then the Angels should be with You, where are they?
