Absurd allegations of Infidels

Surah Ra-‘d (The Thunder) – 13

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

  وَيَقُولُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦٓ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مُنذِرٌوَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ 7

7.  Those who disbelieve say: Why has not a sign been sent down upon him from his Lord? Thou art a Warner only, and for every folk a Guide.

7.  Wa  yaquu-lullaziina  kafaruu  law-laaa  ‘unzila  ‘alayhi  ‘Aaya-tum-mir-Rabbih.  ‘Innamaaa  ‘anta  mun-zirunw-wa  li-kulli  qawmin  Haad. (Section 1)

 

Commentary

 

It is commanded that the disbelievers say: If he {Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him)} is really a Messenger of Allah almighty, then He should show on demand by any individual; his required portent immediately, for example – within a moment; He should cause to flow a spring of water from the land, produce a green garden immediately; fully loaded with the fruit, let fall a piece of sky by breaking, cause to stand Allah Almighty and His Angels (peace be upon them) before them, show a golden house for himself duly built immediately, or go over, reach the sky and thence; bring a perfect book before us.

 

Reply to their absurd allegations has been given in this verse very seriously that: You should say to them! I am a Warner only to frighten you from the Doom of Allah Almighty. I cause to hear you His Word only. My Miracle is this that I produced before you such eloquent Qur’aan, whereas I am quite uneducated; as you know. Moreover, it is such Qur’aan, in which all matters of guidance exist, not only for you; but for all human beings of the entire world. You will never find anywhere other than in it; a better way of comfortable living, by means of which, good sequel will be given as a reward also in the Hereafter.

God is Strong in punishment

Surah Ra-‘d (The Thunder) – 13

‘A-‘uu-zu  Billaahi minash-Shay-taanir- Rajiim.
(I seek refuge in God from Satan the outcast.)

Bis-Millaahir-Rah-maanir-Rahiim.
(In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ وَقَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِمُ ٱلْمَثُلَٰتُ وَإِنَّرَبَّكَ لَذُو مَغْفِرَةٍ لِّلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ ظُلْمِهِمْ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَشَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ 6

6.  And they bid thee hasten on the evil rather than the good, when exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. And lo! Thy Lord is rich in pardon for mankind despite their wrongdoing, and lo! Thy Lord is strong in punishment.

6.  Wa  yasta’-jiluunaka  bis-sayyi-‘ati  qablal-hasanati  wa  qad  khalat  min-  qabli-himul-Masu-laat.  Wa  ‘inna  Rabbaka  la-Zuu-Magfi-ratil-linnaasi  ‘alaa  zulmihim.  Wa  ‘inna  Rabbaka  la-Shadii-dul-‘iqaab.

 

Commentary

 

‘Al-Masu-laatun – (exemplary incidents and punishments), masulun means such happening which is just like a warning for the viewers.

 

It is commanded: These people do not consider it sufficient that they have been saved from the doom, and they have time to obey the commandments of Allah Almighty. If the disaster came upon them; then surely they would be annihilated. Then; how would they be prepared for being saved from the Doom of the Hereafter? If they are desirous to see any sample of punishment, they can visit the ruins of townships of old people, who suffered from disasters due to slight of threatening by their Messengers, and they were disgraced in the world as well as in the Hereafter.

 

Allah Almighty is the Forgiving and the Merciful. He does not punish the mankind immediately despite their wrongdoing and ravages. He forgives their transgressions, but if they do not understand and grip up their loins on stubbornness, then He punishes also very severely.
