Quran is the last Word of God

Surah YUUNUS – 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

37.  And this Qur’an is not such as could ever be fabricated by anyone beside Allah; but it is a confirmation of that which was before it and an exposition of that which is decreed for mankind – therein is no doubt – from the Lord of the Worlds. 37.  Wa  maa  kaana  haazal-Qur-‘aanu  ‘anyyuf-taraa  min-  duuNillaahi  wa  laakin  tasdii-qallazii  bayna  ya-dayhi  wa  tafsii-lal-Kitaabi  laa  ray-ba  fiihi  mir-Rabbil-‘Aalamiin.

Commentary

Yuf-taraa – (be fabricated), this word is passive tense from the word ‘iftaraaa-‘un, which has been derived from far-yun. Far-yun means: To cut the cloth from any big piece; according to measurement, so that the dress of a person may be prepared by stitching its pieces. ‘Iftaraaa-‘un means “to fabricate any artificial thing”.

It is commanded: Behold in this Word of God i.e. Holy Qyr’aan, recite it, listen to it and meditate in it. Its eloquent words, internal decoration of its sentences, construction and classification in its composition, then splendor of grand contents and meanings into them; just like pearls, jewels and gems fitted in golden ornaments, its style of describing, power of discourse, everything kept on its proper place, along with these entire beauties, useful instructions for human beings, certain decisions, reality of the world, secrets of human life, and then such interesting and attractive way of speech that who recites and listens; is never cheerless. Can any mankind write any book which contain so much excellence or can any other creature produce like this (Holy Qur’aan)?

In addition to above mentioned all qualities, with effect from the appearance of the human being in this world, those entire commandments exist in It with full detail and explanation which were revealed in previous all Scriptures. Everything which exists in It; is quite determined and certain without any kind of conjecture, guess or doubt. Can any Collective Book (which should contain such beauties) be of any other than Allah Almighty; Who is Lord of the entire universe and worlds? The sense cannot accept that by leaving such certain Commandments, any human being can like conjecture, guess and uncertain, and can waste his precious life into them.

Acquiring knowledge

Surah YUUNUS – 10 (JONAH)

 BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Commentary

Second Section of this Chapter had begun from here that human being is seeker of goodness and makes haste to acquire it, and wants that he should be given reward of his every labor immediately, because he believes unintelligently that harvest of his every effort will be good certainly in his favor, whereas it can happen also that result of his labor and effort is dangerous and harmful for him. The fruit of haste is repentance. He hastens for his loss due to his guilelessness and does not know it.

It is understood by meditating in this verse that “why it is not necessary, if a person considers that his act is good so its result will also be good”. A mankind does not bring any kind of knowledge along with himself in this world. He has to learn all matters of his profit and loss after coming here. And these matters are taught to him by the people around him. But there are some such matters which are right whereas some are wrong.

That matter which is right and useful in all respect; and in which there is nothing wrong; can be known only from his Creator i.e. Allah Almighty and by means of True Prophets (peace be upon them) sent by Him. And by acting upon their Sayings, advice and guidance, every individual can acquire success and pleasure of both worlds, otherwise it will happen always by following own thoughts, traditions and customs that sometimes you will gain something and sometime you will lose manifolds than it.

Which work is done by the humankind by his own will and intention, certainly that is for attaining any such thing which may provide him pleasure and comfort. But he does not know that in fact which thing will provide him relief and which will be painful, and nor any mankind tells him “this is good and that is bad”. Only Allah Almighty knows or His Messenger (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him), whom He has caused to understand about Good and Evil by revealing Holy Qur’aan unto Him (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him).

Therefore, it is the first teaching of Holy Qur’aan “Turn towards Allah Almighty only and obey His Commandments, because there is goodness for you in it only. If you will see unto yourselves; you will lose your way, or if you will ask advice or opinion of any other save Holy Qur’aan and Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, blessings and peace be upon Him), he will not be able to tell you except; foundation of which is on; conjecture and guess, and result of that will be not any other but depravity.
