Lesson

When any big work is required to be performed for welfare of the nation, generally it happens that some people from us are inclined to oppose it. If we really wish to do that work, then its best method is that we should never quarrel with the opponents, but try to bring together our fellow-sufferers and supporters, and increase our collective strength. Leave the opponents at their circumstances and let them do whatever they wish.

It has been described in this verse that if, after opposing first time, they want to keep very intimate terms with you, for their timely interest, then in the next time, you should be very careful, from having trust in them and being mixed with them. If your companions are strong then this behavior is sufficient to shake their foundation.

It is commanded that you must neither say to them something at your own and nor hear, but continue to strengthen and unite your group every time. But O Messenger (SallAllaahu alayHi wa AaliHii Wasallam)! Whenever, if you go unto them by chance, and their some intelligent people welcome You after observing that the attempt of the Muslims is successful, and they ask of Your permission to go out for fighting along with the Muslims, then You should say to them: “When there was occasion and necessity of your joining us, at that time, you sat still along with those who were sitting still and remained behind. Now, while we are not indigent of yours then why are you going to benefit us by suffering from trouble unnecessarily? Our purpose will be effected without you now”. It is better to be careful from deceitful people in such a way that one should not be entangled with them, but do one’s own duty.

Quarreling with opponents is nothing but wastage of time

Lesson

It becomes most difficult to overpower the deceitful people, that is to say, internal Hypocrites of the country, particularly at that time when external enemies uplift them. They claim that original well-wishers of the country are only they. And the country can revive at such time when their government is established.

The Hypocrites of Madinah were the people of such kind. They wished to finish the Muslims by conspiring with the external enemies, whereas they were their nation-fellow and country-fellow. But the Muslims had Unseen Support and they had to bruise their country’s external enemies. The Battle of Tabuuk was a preface of it that they should produce form of safety from foreigners/external enemies.

It was not acceptable to the Hypocrites. They were desirous of opposing to it that “the Syrians should attack on our country and ruin the Muslims, and then we should prosper, and with their strength; we sing for joy, being contented and independent.

At that time, Islam produced such a treatment for those Hypocrites, which is not only being accepted, nowadays, but being followed by the whole world. Such treatment was that the Hypocrites should be left at their own condition, and the well-wishers and sincere people should be united on a center. Next time, the Hypocrites will sit down automatically.

It is commanded that they don’t want to go forth for battle due to hot weather, just leave them and inform the sincere people that it is the right time of sacrificing financially as well as lives. Be ready and say to Hypocrites: You just stay escaped from summer season and take rest in shelters. Keep your wealth in safe custody. Neither we need your wealth and nor your lives, but remember it that this comfort is ordinary. In the next, you would have to suffer from its retribution. Today, which laughter you have on your lips, it is just for a short time. In the next life, you will have nothing except crying due to its retaliation. But the heat! O enemies of the sense! The heat of the Fire of the Hell is much more intense than this heat. This heat is ordinary, it will be finished, but that is perpetual which will never leave you.

From this, it is known that well-doers should plan to increase their strength. Quarreling with opponents is nothing but just wastage of time. If the sincere people are united then the Hypocrites will sit down at their own.
