In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Lesson

There are wars in the world only because the people turn away usually from that Path or Religion; which has been prescribed by Him; Who is Creator of the entire universe, and every nation determines own separate way of life by its own judgment, and then it desires to reprove it on others by violence.

It is committed in such way that the leaders, spiritual guides and chieftains of every nation become selfish, whereas their common people begin to follow them without thinking and deliberating; considering that they are scholars, rabbis and monks. More efficient people of them get religious decrees; which are beneficial to them only, by giving them offerings, presenting gifts, oblations and bribes. And on the power of those decrees, they exercise authority, whereas the scholars become their obedient servants and flatterers only.

When Islam was introduced, at that time, it came in the grip of such people. The idolaters of Arab had metamorphosed their celestial religion totally from good to bad. And then their leaders were only to command them. These leaders used to care only for their own benefits and sway, and get ready to be in a force. The common people were in their clutch.

The Jews and the Christians had kept up the names of their celestial religion. They would not have to fight against the Muslims. But their selfish people had nearly effaced the religion; and desired to lay but to stake upon their persistence. Therefore, they also began to oppose the Muslims. Then the Muslims were commanded that it was necessary for them to fight, for their Organization, against all selfish people; until they abstain from stubbornness and mischief, and let them do their work of human correction without let or hindrance.

It has been caused to understand in above two verses that there is no difference between the idolaters and the people of the Scripture. Both have marred the Religion of God Almighty and fixed to make the things lawful or unlawful at their own judgment. Some people have spread over others with their wealth, property and personal influence. The ignorant and the scholars (all of them) have begun to praise them falsely.

The scholars change the Commands of God Almighty with big plans. It seems that they are great religious, but in fact; they are the utterly destroyers of the religion. There is no attribute into them save the desire of dignity and the selfishness. Therefore, there is no way but to fight and seize them. However, if they begin to go straight and remove their faults, then you can join them, otherwise no!

Changing of allowed months with the forbidden

Lesson # 1077 from Holy Qur-’aan

Changing of allowed months with the forbidden

Surah ‘TAWBAH or BARAAA-‘AH (REPENTANCE) – Chapter – 9)

Stage – 2, Verse – 37 of 129, Section – 5 of 16 (Part – 10)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful

37.  Postponement (of a sacred month) is only an excess of disbelief whereby those who disbelieve are misled; they allow it one year and forbid it (another) year, that they may make up the number of the months which Allah hath hollowed, so that they allow that which Allah hath forbidden. The evil of their deeds is made fair-seeming unto them. And Allah guideth not the disbelieving folk. 37.  ‘Inna-mannasiii-‘u  ziyaadatun-  fil-kufri  yu-zallu  bihillaziina  kafaruu  yuhilluu-nahuu  ‘aamanw-wa  yuharri-muuna-huu  ‘aamal-li-yuwaati-‘uu  ‘id-data  maa  harra-mAllaahu  fa-yuhilluu  maa  harramAllaah..  Zuy-yina  lahum  suuu-‘u  ‘a’-maalihim.  WAllaahu  laa  yahdil-  qawmal-Kaafiriin.

Lesson

Nasiii-‘un – it is an origin, which means “to postpone, to recapture anything from its place”. Here; it aims, that tradition, which was introduced by the influential chieftains of the Arab before Islam. That is to say; they used to replace the forbidden month behind to the allowed month. For example, the month of Muharram is a forbidden month, they used to postpone it at the place of the next month i.e. Saffar, and used to say: in this year, the month of Saffar will be considered as forbidden month instead of Muharram, and the month of Muharram will be considered as “allowed”.

Yuwaati-‘uu – {(they) make up}, this word is from mu-waati-‘atun, which has been derived from wat-‘un. Wat-‘un means “to make easy, to mollify”. Mu-waati-‘atun means “ to make a thing corresponding to the other”. Here; it aims “God Almighty had determined four months of a year “as forbidden”. They kept their counting the same i.e. four months. But whenever they wished, they used to replace them with one another, keeping the counting of four forbidden months equal.

In the verse before this, God’s prescribed number of months was described. There were four such months in the twelve, in which war, fighting or quarrel was particularly forbidden. Those were called Haraam months i.e. Rajab, Zi-qa’d, Zul-Hajjah and Muharram.

Sometimes, any great leader used to order: Fighting is allowed in this year during the month of Muharram. In exchange, the month of Saffar will be forbidden. Like this, forbidden months were changed from their routine by saying of the chieftains. It meant that the idolaters fixed the command of their leaders obligatory; instead of the command of God Almighty. It is commanded in this verse: Postponement of the months from their routine is only an excess; produced by the infidels and it is disobedience of the Commands of Allah Almighty.
