Lessons from Holy Qur'an

“Where are those partners of your make-believe?”

Lesson # 694 From Holy Qur’aan

“Where are those partners of your make-believe?”

Surah ‘Al-‘An-‘aam (Cattle) – Chapter – 6)–Stage – 2

Verses – 21 & 22 of 165, Section – 3 of 20 (Part – 7)

BisMIllaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim

In the name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

21.  Who doth greater wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allaah or denieth His Revelations? Lo! The wrongdoers will not be successful.

22.  And on the Day We gather them together then We shall say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Allaah): Where are (now) those partners of your make-believe?

21.  Wa  man  ‘azlamu  mimma-niftaraa  ‘alAllaahi  kaziban  ‘aw  kazzaba  bi-‘Aayaatih.  ‘Innahuu  laa  yufli-huzzaalimuun.

22.  Wa  yawma  nah-shuruhum  jamii-‘an-  summa  naquulu lillaziina  ‘ashra-kuuu  ‘ayna  shurakaaa-‘ukumul-laziina  kuntum  taz-‘umuun.

 20. 03. 15 - 1

Lesson

It was described in the previous verse: The Word of Allaah Almighty is Itself Witness over Oneness of Allaah Almighty. Then it was told that the Jews and the Christians recognize properly that Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a True Messenger of Allaah Almighty and that He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) can never tell a lie.

By another argument, these both matters have been proved in this verse. That can be summarized as, if Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a liar in His claim of Prophet-hood, then He calumniates against Allaah Almighty. Therefore, on the basis of this reason, He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a wrongdoer (Let us flee to Allaah).

On the other side, those people, who do not believe in Holy Qur’aan and ascribe partners unto Allaah Almighty, they accuse the greatest and clear Revelation of Allaah Almighty falsely. So they are greater wrongdoers. And there is a prescribed rule for the wrongdoers that they do not succeed at the end.

Now the decision that either Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is a wrongdoer (Let us flee to Allaah) or these disbelievers, will be known by the fact that who succeeds in the last. So, the opponents observed “who failed” and it was clear that Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) succeeded, He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) was True, not a wrongdoer. And His opponents who failed were wrongdoers and liars.

It was the decision of the world. The real Day of the Decision (the Day of Resurrection) is near to come. On that Day, Allaah Almighty will gather and ask the entire wrongdoers and sinners, “Where are (now) those partners of your make-believe?”

It is commanded that two people are greater wrong:

  • The person, who slanders such a lie against Allaah Almighty, which has been revealed by Him, that is to say; claims falsely of prophet-hood.
  • He, who denies and falsifies His clear Revelations and ascribes partners (unto Allaah Almighty).

And there is a prescribed rule for the wrongdoers that they fail at the end. The people have seen in the world that Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) succeeded and His opponents failed, because He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) is True and His opponents are liars.

Even on the Day of Resurrection, the idolaters will be embarrassed by saying: Request them today, whom you used to ascribed partners of Allaah Almighty in the world and see, “How much they can help you, otherwise, suffer the punishment of your wrongdoings.

Lesson -2

The aim of the Revelation of Holy Qur’aan has been described very clearly in the previous verses. It has been made incumbent upon the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and care of Him, upon the entire Muslim nation, to keep this object in front and fulfill it, as it appears from the meaning of above-mentioned verse.

It has been mentioned in the previous verse: The Holy Qur’aan has been inspired in Muhammad, the Last Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) that the people, who exist at the spot, should be warned by this source (Holy Qur’aan) that there is a very severe danger in either opposing it or not drawing proper attention toward it. And it is the duty of all Muslims to manifest this subject (not only these people, who are present, but through them, also of those human beings, whom this Holy Qur’aan reaches until the Day of Resurrection.

It is open that this Holy Word will reach up to more people even after the transfer of the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him). At that time, the Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) will not grace the world with His presence. So this duty will rest upon His nation, that they should inform the people about the danger of not acting upon the commands, mentioned in Holy Qur’aan. And they should explain its meaning in such a manner that nobody would have any objection that “we were not taught like this, otherwise we would have thought on its commands, and acted upon them”.

It is known clearly from this verse that Muhammad is the last Prophet and Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and the Holy Qur’aan is the Last Scripture, which was revealed in the world. No inspiration will be revealed upon anyone after it. It is why that it has been revealed: “Allaah is Witness between me and you. And this Qur’aan hath been inspired in me, that I may warn therewith you and whomsoever it may reach” (with effect from His time to the Day of Resurrection): verse 19a. it is Your and Your nation’s duty after You (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) to teach all of them.

The Messenger of Allaah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) performed His duty in such a manner that He caused to hear the people by reciting the Holy Qur’aan and guided: You should continue your attempt also to deliver it up to other people like Me. He (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) was not satisfied to cause to hear only but explained the meanings of Holy Qur’aan. And He acted upon it with such a practice that He set the importance of its commands in the hearts of the people well efficiently.

There are two parts of this Duty:

  • Learning the words of Holy Qur’aan own by heart and conveying them up to other people, and as the Messenger of Allaah Almighty acted upon it and that, what He commanded to cause to know its meanings, which are called Hadith (Sayings of the Messenger), keep it also safe and cause to reach others.

  • Informing the human beings about its importance and necessity for the human life.

The Muslims performed first part of the duty to some extent, but sorry to say! Duty of the second part could not be performed properly as it needed. The value of any practical program, as it is Holy Qur’aan, can remain established, when it will be respected personally and properly. To advice others, but not to follow personally, makes the advice useless. With which mouth I say that Islam has the best way of life, whereas I don’t act upon it strictly myself? Verbally I praise it very much, but when the time for action comes, I learn from others “how to dwell” and adopt their modes of living. Observe now a days, as much as fun and play, immodesty and obscenity, wickedness and immorality, deceit and treachery is customary in others, that is, but more than them is customary in the Muslims. But verbally they (the Muslims) say: Fear Allaah Almighty, be pious and adopt abstinence. Is it not unforgivable crime and sin?
