Exchange Not The Good For The Bad

Exchange Not The Good For The Bad

Surah NISAAA’  (WOMEN, Chapter – 4)

Verse – 2 of 176, Section –24 (Part – 4)

And give unto orphans their wealth. Exchange not the good for the bad (in your management thereof) nor absorb their wealth into your own wealth. Lo! that is a great sin.

Wa  ‘aatul-yataamaaa  ‘am-waalahum  wa  laa  tatabadda-lul-khabiisa  bit-tayyib.  Wa  laa  ta’-kuluuu  ‘am-waala-hum  ‘ilaaa  ‘amwaalikum.  ‘Innahuu  kaana  huuban- kabiiraa.

Yataamaaa – (orphans) those children, who do not have their parents, particularly father.

Khabiisan – (the bad) that is to say; impure, unreal and unclean.

Huuban – (punishment for a fault distressing), such sin and burden, the result of which is misfortune and disaster.

It is evident from the name of this chapter “Nisaaa’ ” that the matters regarding the women will be discussed especially along with their rights and duties in it. Therefore, in the primary verses, at first it has been cleared that the birth of man and woman takes place from the same one body. Consequently, sobriety and God-fearing should be considered actual standard of excellence, and treat all of them kindly and with kinship.

Now in the second verse, it is being commanded, “Do not seize the wealth of orphans.” Doing so is just like mixing the impure in to the pure. If any person uses the wealth of orphan unlawfully, as though he is making his lawful and pure earnings also as unlawful, impure and bad. As any person makes water-filled glass impure by putting a few drops of urine in to it likewise by taking over (snatching through any means) insignificant and a little wealth of the orphan, he makes unlawful entire earning of his life.

Purpose of revelation of this verse is told so, that there was excessive wealth of a person’s orphan nephew in his care. When his nephew became adult, he demanded his wealth, but his uncle denied to hand him over. At that occasion, this verse was revealed, listening to it the uncle returned his orphan nephew’s wealth and said, “We obey Allah Almighty and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessing and peace be upon him)”.

It has also been described that it does not mean that snatching the wealth other than orphan is lawful and you would not be punished. No! Wealth of others is unlawful for you too, whether he/she is anyone. Saying this crime huuban- kabiiraa (a great sin), the importance of the reality of sin and crime has been cleared, so that nobody may remain in doubt.

At first treating the relatives kindly, with mercy and kinship was emphasized, then behavior with the orphans was explained and at the end, it has been advised to correct the affairs with the entire children of Adam (peace be upon him). It is the actual Spirit of Islam.

God Created Us From A Single Soul

God Created Us From A Single Soul

Surah NISAAA’  (WOMEN, Chapter – 4)

Verse – 1 of 176, Section –24 (Part – 4)

O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women. And be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom ye claim (your rights) of one another, and toward the wombs (that bare you). Lo! Allah hath been a Watcher over you.

Yaaa-‘ayyuhan-naasut-taquu  Rabbakumullazii  khalaqakum-min-Nafsinw-waahida-tinw-wa  khalaqa  minhaa zaw-jahaa  wa  bassa  minhumaa  ri-jaalan-kasiiranw-wa  nisaaa-‘aa. Wattaqullaa-hallazii  ta-saaa-‘aluuna  bihii  wal-‘arhaam.  ‘Innallaaha  kaana  ‘alay-kum  Raqiibaa.

This verse signifies toward the creation of the first humankind i.e. Adam (peace be upon him), then Eve (his wife – Hawwa) was created from his (peace be upon him) left rib as his mate and from them twain, Allah Almighty has spread abroad a multitude of men and women in the world. It means that the woman is weak a little than the man. Lord Almighty is the God Who nourishes and provides entire necessary things to the human beings. Therefore, it is compulsory for us to bear His orders and Pleasure in our minds in each matter and every time, and we should escape from His displeasure. Even in each mutual matter, every person points toward Allah Almighty for His sake, but there is a dire need to have fear of His displeasure in our hearts and we should not be disobedient of our Lord at any cost.

While all the humankind are children of one man and woman (Adam and Eve – the wife of Adam) (peace be upon them), then they have very deep mutual relationship with one another likewise brothers and sisters of each other. Therefore, everybody should try not to harm someone else. However, they should help and sympathize mutually. It is important to guide toward good deeds, to save from evils/sins, to help in difficulties, to look after with spirit and wealth at the time of necessity, to keep providing comfort and consolation among ourselves. Close relatives need more attention to be looked after. We should not forget it also that besides our relatives, we have human relation with the entire human beings of the earth. Whenever the time comes, good behavior is incumbent with everyone. ‘Arhaam has been derived from the word (plural of) raham which means mercy, kindness, loving and treating one’s relatives nicely.

The children of Adam (peace be upon him) have been addressed in the verse that they should have fear of That Existence (Allah Almighty), Who created them. This order of God-fearing is for the entire humanity. Piety for the disbelievers is that they should embrace Islam, believe in Allah Almighty as only One God, Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) as Allah’s last messenger out of other entire prophets/Messengers (peace be upon them), Qur’an as last Holy Book out of all Scriptures which has never been changed, nor it is possible to be changed by anyone in future.

Piousness for the Muslims is that they should remain steadfast in their belief and do good deeds.

Substance From The Chapter ‘An-Nisaaa’

Substance From The Chapter ‘An-Nisaaa’

This Chapter of Holy Qur’an named ‘An-Nisaaa’ (The Women) was revealed at Al-Madinah. There are 176 verses and 24 Sections in this Surah. Mutual relationship between the Man and the Woman has been described particularly in this Surah that which rights and duties they would have to perform for one another, how the relatives must be behaved, how the social evils can be removed, which method would be better to live all together and what are the benefits of living as a unit (one community) with each other?

Being a mankind, man and woman, both are equal because soul of both of them is the same. Care especially the orphans. Do not marry the fatherless girls for your own advantage losing them. You can marry two, three, or four common women at a time on the condition that you do justice between them and you should not seize the right of any woman. When you will be able to understand the rights of women correctly, then you will become justice and wise in getting the orphans married yourselves.

After that, law about dividing the inheritance has been mentioned in detail. Then punishment to the men and women upon their unacceptable actions has been prescribed. Time and method of penitence has been revealed. Then there is mention about those women with whom the marriage is unlawful. During the reign of last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace of Allah Almighty be upon him), there was a class of slaves and bondwomen, the method, how to treat them, has been stated.

Then it is commanded, “Do not take forcible possession of others’ property or wealth. However, willingly business is lawful through trade. Do not kill one another. The people are very different from each other in their personal strength and knowledge. Friendly relationship can be in such a manner that everybody would understand the limit of his capabilities and do his job remaining in it. There is much open difference between male and female. Therefore, they should never compete with each other. The person, who will work remaining in personal limits, shall get its fruit and will succeed. The relations between husband and wife cannot be at too much variance after deeming to this extent. If either behavior of the husband is quite correct but the wife begins to molest or opposite to it then it becomes very necessary somehow to correct the violent.

Following two important laws have been described in this chapter. Mankind’s betterment, goodness and welfare depends upon them:

  • Any person, who has capability of any work, that is to say he/she can perform any particular work in a very good manner, he/she should be appointed for that work. Likewise, everything should be given to the rightful. It should not be so, that the deserving person remains deprived of any particular thing and the unworthy person takes its possession. It is the key to soundness of the society.
  • Obey the orders of Allah Almighty and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and the person who is much at home in any work, follow him/her in that work and act upon his/her guidance. Find settlement/decision in the Commands/Sayings (Holy Qur’an and Hadith) of Allah Almighty and His Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him), in case of difference of the opinions. These Commands/Sayings (Laws) are soul of the management of the government.

Afterwards way of deeds regarding the Hypocrites has been discussed that they do not agree to the decisions of the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) and place more confidence in other people.

Then people are prevailed to be prepared for the crusade of religion because it is necessary to save the weak Muslims from the tyranny of cruel disbelievers. The behavior of Hypocrites has also been reproached in it. These people see nothing but their own benevolence/advantage. To kill any Muslim intentionally is a very severe crime and its punishment is wrath of Allah Almighty and Fire of Hell. If anybody kills a Believer by mistake, error or omission, then expiation should be paid for it.

The prayers during journey and in the condition of fear have been explained that if there is threat of enemy’s attack and the time of prayer has started then how it would be offered.

After that, belief in a plurality of Allah Almighty (polytheism) has been mentioned that it is an unpardonable crime. Remain with the group and use to discuss the matters regarding introduction of good deeds, methods of correction and mutual relationships during reciprocally meetings. Keep correct and good faith in Prophet Jesus (peace be upon him). At the end, remaining principles regarding inheritance have been described.

The Principles Of Success

The Principles Of Success

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter – 3)

Verses –199 & 200 of 200, Section –20 (Part Thee Fourth of – 4)

199.  And lo! of the People of the Scripture there are some who believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto you and that which was revealed unto them, humbling themselves before Allah; they purchase not a trifling gain at the price of the Revelations of Allah. Verily their reward is with their Lord. Lo! Allah is Swift to take account.

 200.  O ye who believe! Endure outdo all others in endurance, be ready, and observe your duty to Allah, in order that ye may succeed.

  199.  Wa ‘inna  min  ‘Ahlil-Kitaabi  lamany-yu’-minu  bil-laahi  wa  maaa  ‘unzila  ‘ilaykum  wa  maaa  ‘unzila  ‘ilayhim  khaashi-‘iina  lillaahi,  laa  yash-taruuna  bi-‘Aayaatillaahi  samanan-qaliilaa.  ‘Ulaaa-‘ika  lahum  ‘ajruhum  ‘inda  Rabbihim.  ‘In-nallaaha  Sarii-‘ul-hisaab.

200.  Yaaa-‘ayyu-hallaziina ‘aa-ma-nusbiruu  wa  saabiruu  wa  raabituu:  wattaqullaaha  la-‘al-lakum  tuflihuun.

In these verses, such People of the Scripture have been described, who are sober and pious, who believe in Allah Almighty correctly, who have faith in Holy Qur’an, who used to prostrate before Allah Almighty with sincerity and humbly, who did neither hide the glad tidings and nor changed the Commands of Allah Almighty. Verily very much respectable reward for them is with their Lord Almighty. The Day of Account (regarding deeds of everybody – good or bad) is not at much distance but that is coming very soon. On that Day (of Resurrection) they will be remunerated completely.

A collective advice has been admonished to the Muslims at the end of this Surah (Chapter). That is to say; if you wish to succeed in the world and the Hereafter, then adhere upon the Obedience enduring even the harshness and the severity. Remain away from the evil deeds and sins; show your strength, perseverance and steadfastness against the enemies, keep protecting Islam, stand still and fight against the enemy and observe your duty to Allah all the times and in everything. If you did so, then it is sure that you got entire blessings and succeeded. Allah Almighty has admonished four advices and determined them the source of success at the end of this Surah (Chapter).

  1. ‘Asbiruu – (Endure outdo all others in endurance, be patient) means first rule of success is steadfastness.

  1. Saabiruu – (be ready, instruct others for patience and be strong in fight) make other persons accustomed of the patience and determination too along with you.

  1. Raabituu – (continue in close contact and be united) mutual connections and strong relations are the stairs of success.

  1. ‘Attaqullaaha – (observe your duty to Allah) God fearing and abstinence is fourth principle of success.

Good Fortune Of Infidels In This World

Good Fortune Of Infidels In This World

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter – 3)

Verses –196 to 198 of 200, Section –20 (Part – 4)

196.  Let not the vicissitude (of the success) of those who disbelieve, in the land, deceive thee (O’ Muhammad).

 197.  It is but a brief comfort. And afterwards their habitation will be Hell. And what an ill abode.

 198.  But those who keep their duty to their Lord, for them are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever, a gift of welcome from their Lord. And that which Allah hath in store is better for the righteous.

  196.  Laa yagurrannaka  taqal-lubullaziina  kafaruu  fil-bilaad.

197.  Mataa-‘un-qaliil. Summa ma’-waahum  Jahannam.  Wa  bi’-sal-mihaad.

 198.  Laakinillazii-natta-qaw Rabbahum  lahum  Jannaatun  tajrii  min  tahtihal-‘anhaaru  khaalidiina  fiihaa  nuzulam-min-‘indillaah.  Wa  maa  ‘indal-laahi  khayrul-lil-‘Abraar.

Allah Almighty has estimated in order to find out difference between the result of Believer and Disbeliever. The Disbelievers collect the revenue/wealth lawfully or unlawfully and are proud upon it. The Muslims should not be deceived observing it. This world is as a place adorned with the blooms of springs for a few days. If someone causes to hear the punishment of execution after luxurious enjoyment for only some days, then what will he feel? The real pleasantness of life is that a person gets a place of pleasure for ever after suffering and bearing a little labor. If we compare this pleasure, success and comfort with that ‘place adorned with the blooms of springs for a few days’ then we shall be able to know automatically that which place is better out of the two?

Those people who used to fear from Allah Almighty, they would be given abode in the Paradise underneath which the rivers flow, as retaliation of their good deeds. They will remain in the Heavens forever and will be the guests of Allah Almighty. That is to say; they would not have to think about their provision, but every thing will be provided to them with respect in a state of ease and comfort. Reward of such fortunate people which is held with Allah Almighty, is very better.

Although the Infidels and the governments of the Disbelievers are seen apparently developed today, they appear prosperous economically, they have ease and comfort of the world, but these entire things are temporary. Their last abode will be in to the Hell. We should not grieve observing their prosperous and development. Those people who do not believe in Allah Almighty and His prescribed Divine Laws, they can never be pure from selfishness. Evidently jollity can be seen everywhere, but the enmity and envy has made among themselves too much deep room in their hearts that neither they can take some rest during the day time nor can sleep at night easily. Actually, they are in the condition of the agonies of death. Fear of one another has prevailed over their hearts and the arrogance has spoiled.

I Shall Remit Evil Deeds From Believers (God)

I Shall Remit Evil Deeds From Believers (God)

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter – 3)

Verses –194 & 195 of 200, Section –20 (Part – 4)

194.  Our Lord! And give us that which Thou hast promised to us by Thy messenger; and confound us not upon the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Thou breakest not the tryst.

 195.  So their Lord hath heard them (and He saith): Lo! I suffer not the work of any worker, male or female, to be lost. Ye precede one from another. So those who migrated and were driven forth from their homes and suffered damage for My Cause, and fought and were slain, verily I shall remit their evil deeds from them and verily I shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow. A reward from Allah. And with Allah is the fairest of rewards.

 194.  Rabbanaaa wa  ‘aatinaa  maa  wa-‘attanaa  ‘alaa  rusulika  wa  laa  tukh-zinaa  Yawmal-Qiyaamah.  ‘Innaka  laa  tukh-liful-mii-‘aad.

195.  Fastajaaba lahum  Rab-buhum  ‘annii  laaa  ‘uzii-‘u  ‘amala  ‘aamilim-  minkum-min-  zakarin  ‘aw  ‘unsaa.  Ba’-zu-kum-mim-  ba’z. Sawaabam-min  ‘indil-laah.  Wallaahu  ‘indahuu  husnussa-waab.

They pray from Allah Almighty who ponder and consider thoughtfully, “O our Lord! You have promised to us by Your Messenger (glory, grace, blessings and peace be upon him) regarding prevalence upon the Infidels in the world and dwelling place in the Paradise on the Day of Resurrection, Keep that promise, certainly You do not break the tryst.

Allah Almighty commands that He does not waste the work of any worker. “As you sow so you shall reap”. He/she shall get produce of any work, who will perform, male or female. Everybody of you will receive complete retaliation of his/her deeds. Those persons, who left their beloveds, relatives and native land in the Way of Allah Almighty, caused to plunder their property and wealth, were driven forth from their homes and suffered damage for His Cause, and fought and were slain, verily they are such people from whom He will remit their evil deeds. Verily He will bring them into the Gardens (Paradise) underneath which the rivers flow.

The best reward of good deeds and labor is from Allah Almighty and with Him is the fairest of rewards. Summary of Islam is that the mankind should remain attentive towards Allah Almighty in each condition, what he wants to beg, that should be begged only from Him and he/she should act upon that Guidance without any dispute which He has bestowed upon His most gracious Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him).

Rabbanaa ta-waffanaa ma-‘al-‘Abraar

Rabbanaa ta-waffanaa  ma-‘al-‘Abraar

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter – 3)

Verses –192 & 193 of 200, Section –20 (Part – 4)

192.  Our Lord! Whom Thou causest to enter the Fire: him indeed Thou hast confounded. And for evildoers there will be no helpers.

 193.  Our Lord! Lo! we have heard a crier calling unto Faith: “Believe ye in your Lord!” So we believed. Our Lord! Therefore forgive us our sins, and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die the death of the righteous.

 192.  Rabbanaaa ‘innaka  man-tud-khilin-Naara  faqad  ‘akh-zaytah.  Wa  maa  lizzaalimiina  min  ‘ansaar.

193.  Rabbanaaa ‘inna-naa  sami’-naa  Munaa-diyany-yunaa-dii  lil-‘iimaani  ‘an  ‘aaminuu  bi-Rabbikum  fa-‘aamannaa.  Rabbanaa  fagfir  lanaa  zunuu-banaa  wa kaffir-‘annaa   sayyi-‘aatinaa  wa  ta-waffanaa  ma-‘al-‘Abraar.

Those people, who either do not meditate in the tokens of Allah Almighty, or do not relate His Greatness after even meditation and deep thought, or incline towards the love of material due to becoming materialist, they will enter the Fire (Hell). As many days a person will remain in the Hell, so much he will be confounded. To whom Allah Almighty wishes to put in the Fire, he cannot find any helper so that he may be saved.

The people, who attain correct results after meditation and consideration in the Omnipotence of Allah Almighty, they turn their attention towards Lord Almighty, keep Him in their minds fresh. They say, “We have heard a crier towards Allah Almighty {Merciful Messenger (grace, glory, blessing and peace be upon him)} calling to guide us towards the goodness, Belief in Unity and worship of one God, and the Straight Path, so we inclined and believed”.

These people pray, “Our Lord! Forgive our big sins, and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die the death of the righteous, keep us along with them and reproduce us on the Day of Resurrection with them”.

We should learn the lesson from these verses, try to understand the knowledge of the things created by Allah Almighty, and then keep remembering Allah Almighty with our tongues and hearts during standing, sitting, moving and reclining, consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, and say, “Our Lord! Glory be to Thee! Persevere us from the doom of Fire, forgive us our sins, remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die the death of the righteous, who invite towards the guidance and the goodness, whether the people do not give ear towards their call. Allah Almighty shall confer the rewards for their goodness.

Tokens For The Men Of Understanding

Tokens For The Men Of Understanding

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter – 3)

Verses –190 & 191 of 200, Section –20 (Part – 4)

190.  Lo! in the creation of the heavens and the earth and (in) the difference of night and day are tokens (of His Sovereignty) for men of understanding-

 191.  Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, and say: Our Lord! Thou createdst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Persevere us from the doom of Fire.

 190.  ‘Inna fii  khal-qis-samaa-waati  wal-‘arz  wakh-tilaafil-layli  wan-nahaari  la-‘Aayaatil-‘ulil-‘albaab.

191.  ‘Allaziina yaz-kuruunal-laaha  qiyaamanw-wa  qu-‘uu-danw-wa  ‘alaa  junuubihim  wa  yatafakkaruuna   fii  khal-qis-samaawaati  wal-‘arz.  Rab-banaa  maa  khalaqta  haazaa  baatilaa.  Sub-haanaka  faqinaa  ‘azaaban-Naar.

When any person of understanding thinks about the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the system of rising the sun in the east (the day) and its setting in the west (the night), then he has to believe that an Omnipotent exists who created the entire existing things. There is no such thing, which may dare before Him (the Creator) to strike out from its circle. Such people, who meditate, use to bear Allah Almighty in their minds morning and evening in each condition, and they do not be careless from remembering recital of His Praise and Names.

The people who think deeply say after remembrance and close attention, “O Our Lord! You have not created worthless and without any purpose this entire nature of the creatures”. Surely, this order of strange and skillful administrations will end at any magnificent result, as though, from here, their intellect thoughts about the Day of Resurrection, which is the last natural and logical conclusion of the present life.

We have known from these verses that thinking and meditating about the earth and the skies, and other things created by Allah Almighty can be advantageous and fruitful when resultantly the mankind turn their attention towards His remembrance and the Day of Resurrection. Those people, who incline toward material love after meditating in the above-mentioned things, they cannot be ‘ulil-‘albaab “the men of understanding” (wise and learned persons), whether the people of the world consider them the great scholars of the religion. Uncountable blandishments appear in front of us in our daily life; when we observe them, we are astonished and lost in wonder. We should understand from this entire God’s Work that at last we would have to be present in the Court of the CREATOR. Everybody should be prepared and earn instantly, which would be useful for that ‘on the Doomsday’.

Teachings of Islam

Holy Qur’an According to mathematician

Dr Gary Miller (Now Dr Abdul Ahad) was a very active missionary and was very knowledgeable about the Bible. This man likes mathematics so much, that’s why he likes logic. One day, he decided to read the Qur’an to try to find any mistakes that he might take advantage of while inviting Muslims to convert to Christianity. He expected the Qur’an to be an old book written 14 centuries ago, a book that talks about the desert and so on. He was amazed from what he found.

He discovered that this Book had what no other book in the world has. He expected to find some stories about the hard time that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) had, like the death of his wife Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) or the death of his sons and daughters. However, he did not find anything like that. And what made him even more confused is that he found a full “Sura” (chapter) in the Qur’an named “Mary” that contains a lot of respect to Mary (peace be upon her) which is not the case even in the books written by Christians nor in their Bibles. He did not find a Sura named after “Fatimah”(the prophet’s daughter) nor “Aishah” (the Prophet’s wife), may Allah (God) be pleased with both of them. He also found that the name of Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him) was mentioned in the Qur’an 25 times while the name of “Muhammad” (Peace Be Upon Him) was mentioned only 4 times, so he became more confused. He started reading the Qur’an more thoroughly hoping to find a mistake but he was shocked when he read a great verse which is verse number 82 in Surat Al-Nisa’a (Women) that says:

“Do they not consider the Qur’an (with care)? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy”.

Dr Miller says about this verse: “One of the well known scientific principles is the principle of finding mistakes or looking for mistakes in a theory until it’s proved to be right (Falsification Test). What’s amazing is that the Holy Qur’an asks Muslims and non-muslims to try to find mistakes in this book and it tells them that they will never find any”. He also says about this verse: “No writer in the world has the courage to write a book and say that it’s empty of mistakes, but the Qur’an, on the contrary, tells you that it has no mistakes and asks you to try to find one and you won’t find any.”

Another verse that Dr Miller reflected on for a long time is the verse number 30 in Surat “Al-Anbiya” (The Prophets):

“ Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?”

He says: ”This verse is exactly the subject of the scientific research that won the Noble Prize in 1973 and was about the theory of the “Great Explosion”. According to this theory, the universe was the result of a great explosion that lead to the formation of the universe with its skies and planets.

Dr Miller says: “Now we come to what’s amazing about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and what’s pretended about the devils helping him, God says:

“No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation), it would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it.” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 26, Verses 210-212.

“When thou does read the Qur’an, seek Allah’s protection from Satan the Rejected One” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 16, Verse 98.

You see? Can this be the devil’s way to write a book? how can he write a book then tells you to ask God for protection from this devil before reading that book? Those are miraculous verses in this miraculous book! and has a logical answer to those who pretend that it’s from the devil”.

And among the stories that amazed Dr Miller is the story of the Prophet(PBUH) with Abu-Lahab. Dr Miller says: “This man (Abu Lahab) used to hate Islam so much that he would go after the Prophet wherever he goes to humiliate him. If he saw the prophet talking to strangers, he used to wait till he finishes and then ask them: What did Muhammad tell you? If he said it’s white then it’s in reality black and if he said it’s night then it’s day. He meant to falsify all what the prophet says and to make people suspicious about it. And 10 years before the death of Abu Lahab, a Sura was inspired to the prophet, named “Al-Masad”. This sura tells that Abu Lahab will go to hell, in other words, it says that Abu Lahab will not convert to Islam. During 10 years, Abu Lahab could have said: “Muhammad is saying that I will not become a Muslim and that I will go to the hell fire, but I’m telling you now that I want to convert to Islam and become a Muslim. What do you think about Muhammad now? Is he saying the truth or no? Does his inspiration come from God?”. But Abu Lahab did not do that at all although he was disobeying the prophet in all matters, but not in this one. In other words, it was as if the prophet(PBUH) was giving Abu Lahab a chance to prove him wrong! But he did not do that during 10 whole years! he did not convert to Islam and did not even pretend to be a Muslim!! Throughout 10 years, he had the chance to destroy Islam in one minute! But this did not happen because those are not the words of Muhammad (PBUH) but the words of God Who knows what’s hidden and knows that Abu Lahab will not become a Muslim.

How can the prophet (PBUH) know that Abu Lahab will prove what is said in that Sura if this was not inspiration from Allah? How can he be sure throughout 10 whole years that what he has (the Qur’an) is true if he did not know that it’s inspiration from Allah?? For a person to take such a risky challenge, this has only one meaning: that this is inspiration from God.

“Perish the hands of the Father of Flame (Abu Lahab)! perish he! No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of blazing Flame! His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood; As fuel! A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck!” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 111.

Dr Miller says about a verse that amazed him: One of the miracles in the Qur’an is challenging the future with things that humans cannot predict and to which the “Falsification Test” applies, this test consists of looking for mistakes until the thing that is being tested is proved to be right. For example, let’s see what the Qur’an said about the relation between Muslims and Jews. Qur’an says that Jews are the major enemies for Muslims and this is true until now as the main enemy for Muslims are the Jews.

Dr Miller continues: This is considered a great challenge since the Jews have the chance to ruin Islam simply by treating Muslims in a friendly way for few years and then say: here we are treating you as friends and the Qur’an says that we are your enemies, the Qur’an must be wrong then! But this did not happen during 1400 years!! and it will never happen because those are the words of The One who knows the unseen (God) and not the words of humans.

Dr Miller continues: Can you see how the verse that talks about the enmity between Muslims and Jews constitutes a challenge to the human mind?

“Strongest among men in enmity to the Believers wilt thou find the Jews and Pagans; and nearest among them in love to the Believers wilt thou find those who say, “We are Christians”: because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant. And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognize the truth: they pray: “Our Lord! We believe; write us down among the witnesses” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 5, Verses 82-84.

This verse applies to Dr Miller as he was a Christian but when he knew the truth, he believed and converted to Islam and became a herald. May Allah support him.

Dr Miller says about the unique style of the Qur’an that he finds wonderful: No doubt there is something unique and amazing in Qur’an that is not present anywhere else, as the Qur’an gives you a specific information and tells you that you did not know this before. For example:

“This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Prophet!) by inspiration: thou was not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam: nor was thou with them when they disputed (the point)” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 3, Verse 44.

“Such are some of the stories of the Unseen, which We have revealed unto thee: before this, neither thou nor thy People knew them. So persevere patiently: for the End is for those who are righteous” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 11, Verse 49.

“Such is one of the stories of what happened unseen, which We reveal by inspiration unto thee: nor was thou (present) with them when they concerted their plans together in the process of weaving their plots” The Holy Qur’an, Chapter 12, Verse 102.

Dr Miller continues: “No other holy book uses this style, all the other books consist of information that tells you where this information came from. For example, when the Holy Bible talks about the stories of the ancient nations, it tells you that a this King lived in a this place and a that leader fought in that battle, and that a certain person had a number of kids and their names are. But this book (Bible) always tells you that if you want to know more, you can read a certain book since that information came from that book”.

Dr Garry Miller continues: “This is in contrary to the Qur’an which gives you the information and tells you that it’s new!! And what’s amazing is that the people of Mecca at that time (time of inspiration of those verses) used to hear those verses and the challenge that the information in those verses was new and was not known by Muhammad (PBUH) nor by his people at that time, and despite that, they never said: We know this and it is not new, and they did not say: We know where Muhammad came from with those verses. This never happened, but what happened is that nobody dared to say that he was lying to them because those was really new information, not coming from the human mind but from Allah who knows the unseen in the past, the present and the future”

Lessons from Holy Qur'an

Only Allah Is Supreme Ruler

Only Allah Is Supreme Ruler

Surah ‘Aali ‘Imran (The Family Of ‘Imran, Chapter – 3)

Verses –188 & 189 of 200, Section –19 (Part – 4)

188.  Think not that those who exult in what they have given, and love to be praised for what they have not done – think not, they are in safety from the doom. And a painful doom is theirs.

 189.  Unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Able to do all things.

 188.  Laa tahsa-bannallaziina  yafrahuuna  bimaaa  ‘ataw-wa  yuhibbuuna  ‘any-yuhmaduu  bimaa lam yaf-‘aluu  falaa tahsa-bannahum-  bimafaazatim-minal-‘azaab.  Wa  lahum  ‘azaa-bun  ‘aliim.

189.  Wa lillaahi  mulkus-samaa-waati  wal-‘arz.  Wallaahu  ‘alaa  kulli shay-‘in-  Qadiir.

The religious scholars of the Jews used to take bribe from the public, tell them false tenets and think that nobody can observe their ingenuity. They used to hope that the people would praise them that they were supreme scholars and truth loving. On the other side, the condition of the Hypocrites was same also. They used to remain at home hiding themselves in the situation of crusade and be pleased at their cleverness that, “how we defended ourselves”.

When the Messenger of Allah Almighty (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him) used to return from the religious crusade, then the above mentioned people wished (by false evading about their absence) that they might be praised by Allah’s Apostle (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon him). It has been described in these verses that these kinds of activities cannot save them from the anguish of Allah Almighty, which has been waiting for them in the world and the Hereafter.

Those depravities of the People of the Scripture were signified in the first verse that:

  • They did not stand firm and flung the solemn covenant behind their backs, which was taken by Allah Almighty.

  • They were to expound the truth/Scripture to the mankind and not to hide it, but they hid it and gave false and cheap verdicts to the people. It was a very big crime to give the false verdicts, but they did not stop here and sold their religion and faith against a few coins, and ruined their world and Future at their own.

In what manner these people have fallen into an idiotically misunderstanding that they become happy upon their each lawful or unlawful deed. They think that their conduct and acts are elevated from error. It is its result that now there is no chance of their correction. Not only has this but they wanted to be praised for those acts, which they have not performed. As if they did not do any duty, even then, it was a planned scheme and they did not adopt sagacity and prudence.

Allah Almighty commanded, “Triumphing perceptions and childish solaces of those people will not be able to save them from the anguish of Allah Almighty. Sovereign Power of the heavens and the earth is only for Allah Almighty. How can they go out from it and where can they go leaving it”?
