He is not one of us who does not show compassion to our young and respect to the old. (Tirmizi, Jama’ al-Fawa’id)

254.  Sayyidina Abu Hurayrah(Radi-ALLAHO-An-ho)

It is enough for a man to be a liar that he repeats everything he hears (without verifying its truth). (Muslim, Nasa’i, Jama’ al-Fawa’id)

256.  Sayyidina ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ood(Radi-ALLAHO-An-ho)

(Something) the devil comes to people in the form of a man and tells them something false. Then, when those people go their ways, one of them confides (to some other people), “I have heard something from a man whose face I recognize but whose name I do not remember and he said such-and-such a thing.” In this way, the lie spreads as a rumour and causes mischief. 259.  Sayyidina Abu Zarr(Radi-ALLAHO-An-ho)
