RAHMAAN – 55 |

Verses 78 Sections 3 |
|
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. |
Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim |
|
1. The Beneficent- |
1. ‘AR-RAHMAANU |
|
2. Hath taught the Qur’aan. |
2. ‘Allamal-Qur-‘aan |
|
3. He hath created man. |
3. Khalaqal-‘insaana |
|
4. He hath taught him utterance. |
4. ‘Allamahul-bayaan |
|
5. The sun and the moon are made punctual |
5. ‘Ash-shamsu wal-qamaru bi-husbaan |
|
6. The herbs and the trees adore. |
6. Wan-najmu wash-shajaru yasjudaan |
|
7. And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure- |
7. Was-Samaaa-‘a rafa-‘ahaa wa waza-‘al Miizaana |
|
8. That ye exceed not the measure- |
8. ‘Allaa tat-gaw fil-miizaan |
|
9. But observe the measure strictly, and fall not short in the measure |
9. Wa ‘aqiimul-wazna bil-qisti wa laa tukhsirul-miizaan |
|
10. And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures- |
10. Wal-‘arza waza’ahaa lil-‘anaam |
|
11. Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees- |
11. Fiihaa faakihatunw-wan-nakhlu zaatul-‘akmaam |
|
12. Husked grain and scented herb. |
12. Wal-habbu zul-‘asfi war-ray-haan |
|
13. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? |
13. Fabi-‘ayyi ‘aalaa-‘i Rab-bikumaa tukazzibaan |
|
14. He created man from ringing clay like the earthen vessels- |
14. Khalaqal-‘insaana min- salsaalin- kal-fakh-khaar |
|
15. And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. |
15. Wa khalaqal-Jaaanna mim-maarijim-min-Naar |
|
16. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? |
16. Fabi-‘ayyi ‘aalaa-‘i Rab-bikumaa tukazzibaan |
|
17. Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! |
17. Rabbul-Mashri-qayni wa Rabbul-Magribayn |
|
18. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? |
18. Fabi-‘ayyi ‘aalaa-‘i Rab-bikumaa tukazzibaan |
|
19. He hath loosed the two seas flowing together (side by side)- |
19. Marajal-bah-rayni yal-taqiyaan
|
|
20. There is a barrier between them, they encroach not (one upon the other). |
20. Baynahumaa Barzakhul-laa yabgi-yaan |
|
21. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? |
21. Fabi-‘ayyi ‘aalaa-‘i Rab-bikumaa tukazzibaan |
